On Saturday 4 June 2022, at the Grand Place of Brussels, the Belgian Defence organized an international military tattoo from Tuesday 31 May to Saturday 4 June in 5 Belgian cities: Mons, Namur, Sint-Truiden, Bruges and Brussels. This tattoo was originally planned in May 2020, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belgium, but was postponed due to Covid-19. With this tattoo, Defence wants to emphasize that cooperation is one of the most important basic pillars of the organisation. The importance of international cooperation is emphasized by the participation of 3 foreign military music bands. No fewer than 150 professional musicians bring a musical show, enhanced with video images and a light show. The Value of Freedom is the central theme of the show. Participating military bands:
